"Komal has been my yoga guru and inspiration since 2008. She has always made yoga classes interesting by introducing different yoga concepts in each class. Her finishing touch with Shavasana coupled with calming music and the beat of the gong has always left me refreshed after a stressful week. I used to attend her weekly group yoga session and we used to eagerly wait for the next session. Hence when I got pregnant last year I reached out to Komal for a 1-on-1 Prenatal yoga session. She was able to gladly fit me in her tight schedule. Each session lasted about 90 minutes. Her hip openers and yoga poses helped me cope up with my changing pregnancy body and I ended up being active throughout my pregnancy. She provided me with bolsters and other props to help ease into the yoga poses. She was always aware and made sure that I were equally aware of when to back off from a pose in case discomfort arises. She made sure that each pose was very relaxing while still working on my core. She used bolsters to help me get into Shavasana in a reclining posture considering my pregnancy belly. Her guidance helped me a lot throughout my pregnancy. I would highly recommend her class to an expecting mother.

Thank you for introducing Yoga to my 66 year old mom who never went to a gym or worked out in her life. She had five kids that kept her very active for most of her life. But as she's aging, I wanted to introduce something gentle and effective and I couldn't think of anything better than Yoga. Komal is very professional and extremely knowledgeable in the art of Yoga. Being a seasoned teacher, Komal used her extensive knowledge of the human anatomy and physiology to tailor each session to suit our needs, giving us specific poses designed for pregnancy and altering them when needed to accommodate for our ever changing bodies with every passing week! She was very cognizant of our safety and that of our baby throughout our sessions but still ensured the poses were challenging enough for us to get maximum strengthening and mobility benefits from the exercises. Regular practice with Komal helped relieve tension in my entire back, neck and shoulders and increased blood circulation which is vital for the baby. She helped us develop stamina and strength, getting ready for labor. She also dedicated time for breathwork and meditation with really helped calm the nervous system and enhance my awareness and connection with my baby! I appreciated that she shared the purpose of everything we did, the benefits and any contra indication as we went through each class.

Starting my 8 week session with Komal auntie was the best investment I ever made for myself and my health. I came out of the 8 weeks with not only extensive knowledge about the yoga practice as a whole but also feeling much healthier and lighter overall. I went in with some health concerns but coming out now I am so much more in tune with my body and what it needs on a daily basis. Komal auntie is one of the most dedicated and patient teachers I’ve ever had and she truly prioritizes what is best for her student. Yoga is enjoyable, relaxing, and very beneficial. It eases tension in the body and mind and helps one to have a more positive outlook on life. I had medical conditions for which I was looking for a cure through Yoga. That’s how I contacted Komal. Komal is a wise and loving teacher, and her coaching was infused with compassion and clarity. Before starting the asanas, she explains the meaning, the right way to do that and the chakras awakened/benefited with those asanas. Komal’s lessons were engaging, useful, and she was very patient in the class. During my sessions whatever I practiced daily at home I sent videos to Komal. She is very prompt in watching the videos and send the corrections immediately. She would mention the exact minute and second of the video clipping where I went wrong and the correction to be done. That feed back was very important for me to correct myself and practice promptly at home. She followed that practice until I was able to do on my own the proper way. I attended online group sessions along with other students. She was focusing on each student and was always encouraging her students to try and do the right way. What I have learned throughout the sessions was so interesting and very helpful for my continued Yoga practice in future. I am grateful to Komal for the wonderful lessons, and for providing such a comfortable learning environment. I am so much better health wise and I would highly recommend her to anyone interested in learning yoga.

In 2019, I had a terrible UTI and after a CT scan, I was told I have two cysts on my ovaries, one that was 5.5 cm on my right ovary and a 2.7 cm cyst on my left ovary. For the first few months of the diagnosis, doctors told me that I just had to monitor it, and I had no pain. A year after my diagnosis, I had gotten into exercising, HITT training, and had gotten to the healthiest point in my life. That’s when the pain really started. I would stay up for hours, or be unable to walk for hours at a time, and started using painkillers to reduce the unpredictable bouts of pain. I started oral contraceptives, and if I missed a dose by an hour or so, the pain would be relentless. I asked multiple specialists what my options were, and they all said the same things. OC would prevent new cysts, but the current cysts would not go away without surgery. There was a chance that they might go away on their own, but as they’d stayed consistently the same size for 2.5 years, they suggested surgery if the pain was too much. It became difficult to get back to the exercise routine I had built just a few months back, and I started gaining weight due to the inactivity. The physical inactivity, post COVID stresses, and a sincere fear that my only option was surgery really took a toll on my mental health, and I found myself at a very low point in my mental health. I was struggling with self esteem, independence, and I couldn’t find an avenue for self improvement. I have known Komal Aunty since I was very young, and my mom suggested I talk to her about using yoga as a healing method. At that point in my life, I felt so lost, that I was willing to try anything. In the summer of 2023, I signed up for an 8 session course, two hours each week. And honestly those 8 weeks changed my perspective on who I am and what this diagnosis had done for me. I committed to exercising, changing my diet, and working on my mental health. The meditative techniques, the intentional and personalized yoga, and the sessions to talk out some personal trauma was incredibly helpful. Within 3 weeks, my self esteem improved, my ADHD decreased, my anxiety decreased, and my weekly pain had decreased almost 70%. At the end of my 8 week course, I found myself cooking better, eating healthier, and overall loving myself much more. I am almost completely pain free now, and it’s been 6 months since my last session. Komal Aunty told me I should check out my cysts again, and I scheduled the ultrasound. My results came back and my right ovarian cyst had shrunk by 2.5 cm, and my left cyst was gone. I was shocked. No medical professional was able to give me what she did. I didn’t go into this program with the intention that my cysts would go away. I wanted my life back, and I wanted to feel like myself again. Komal Aunty gave me a whole new perspective, and helped me establish a much better relationship with my body

I am writing to highly recommend the Pranayama and Meditation workshop conducted by Komal Bhonagiri. As someone who has attended the workshop myself, I can attest to the incredible benefits that it offers for anyone interested in improving their physical and mental wellbeing. The online workshop was conducted at our Women’s Network event during lockdown when everyone was working remotely, and Komal was able to create a peaceful and calming atmosphere that was conducive to meditation and deep breathing exercises. She provided a variety of techniques and strategies that were easy to implement in our daily routines, which was particularly helpful for those of us who work in a high-stress environment. At Sonoco, we hired Ms. Komal Bhonagiri to conduct yoga and meditation workshops during
the years 2016 and 2017 on a weekly basis. We initially began with yoga classes and then
eventually transitioned towards pranayama and meditation as our employees found it to be
very beneficial.
Being in a fast-paced work environment, these workshops were a great way to ground us,
create mental clarity and calmness, and sharpen concentration. This not only helped improve
productivity, collaboration, and camaraderie among employees, but it also helped individuals
make better decisions for our internal and external customers.
